What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account details: name, email, phone, and password credentials
• Verification data: date of birth, billing address, driver's license details and expiration, insurance policy details, emergency contact
• Uploaded documents: license front and back, proof of insurance, and any additional documents we specifically request
• Booking records: vehicles, dates, locations, pricing, and rental history
• Payment metadata from our payment processor — never full card numbers
• Usage analytics: pages viewed, vehicles viewed, and booking funnel events

How verification documents are protected

Uploaded identity documents are stored in private storage that is never publicly accessible. Files are not served from public URLs, are not shown on any public vehicle or customer page, and are retrievable only through authenticated, authorized requests.

Access is limited to staff whose role requires it for eligibility review. Every access is attributable to an individual account.

Retention and deletion

Verification documents are retained only as long as needed for eligibility review, insurance obligations, and dispute resolution, then deleted according to our configured retention schedule. Booking and payment records are retained as required by tax and insurance law.

You may request deletion of your account and uploaded documents at any time by contacting concierge@ottotheconnect.com. We will delete anything not legally required to retain and confirm what remains and why.

What we never do

• We do not sell or rent your personal information
• We do not share verification documents with advertisers or data brokers
• We do not request license or payment details over email or chat
• We do not store more sensitive information than a rental decision requires

Service providers

We share limited data with providers who help us operate: payment processing, transactional email, cloud hosting and storage, and analytics. Each is bound by contract to use the data only to provide their service.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to analytics tracking. Requests are answered within 30 days.
